The prosecution has interrogated citizen Ahmed Ibrahim Anwar Mohamed, 40 years old, following a recently prepared arrest report, and decided to imprison him for 15 days pending investigations in case number 1126 for the year 2025, concerning high state security, and he has been placed in Badr 3 prison for reform and rehabilitation.

This development comes after more than six full years of enforced disappearance, since security forces in Sharqia Governorate stormed his family's home in Zagazig on the second day of Eid al-Adha, corresponding to August 12, 2019, when he was 34 years old. He was taken to an unknown location, believed to be the National Security headquarters in Zagazig, before being transferred later to Cairo, and finally presented to the high state security prosecution.

The Al-Shehab Center for Human Rights considers the appearance of citizen Ahmed Ibrahim after many years of enforced disappearance to be a positive development and appreciates it. However, this incident brings attention back to the issue of hundreds of forcibly disappeared individuals who remain in detention outside the framework of the law, enduring severe humanitarian suffering that affects them and their families due to the deprivation of communication and years of detention without legal justification.
